A thought from the Greenwich Observatory

"Space is for everybody. It's our new frontier out there, and it's everybody's business to know about space ..." (Christa McAuliffe, teacher on board space shuttle Challenger. 6 December 1985)

Towards the end of the work week, inspiration is what I seek.

You should write about something like Islam in London: http://www.cityultima.com/Islam

Thanks for the suggestion, Kristina. I haven't particularly written anything on religion before, except my visit to the gurdwara in Southall. It was definitely interesting to see a different side of London, although I don't think I would have been comfortable going there if I wasn't with my Sikh friend. So while you will probably never find reviews of mosques or religious events on this site, I will try to think of an angle that I can incorporate on this blog.

Hi Lucie
did you know that around noon in every gurdwara they have something called a langa, where food is given out freely to anyone who comes in.
The religious as well as the cultural aspect of London is truly rich and diverse and I feel would most definitely merit some kind of review. Even things like churches behind the nursery rhyme, give me five farthings said the bells of st martins, or the huge variety of Buddhist temples in London
